The Idea of Schedules

In the real world, schedules dictate anything and everything from when we brush our teeth to what we grab for dinner. At least in the US, it's progressed to the point where not being early for things is considered late in some circles, but especially for business. People use a lot of different methods to handle it. For some people, its a shift schedule. For others, it's giving themselves project deadlines to stick to.

The main schedule in SL is social. Whether its SL live music, DJ sets, weddings, or activities put on by groups, the scheduling is a lot less tight, and promptness is only a plus, not a requirement. Sets wander into overtime, and activities wander for as long as there's interest. It's a difference from the real world, that's for sure, and that's not even mentioning all the things one avatar can get into without anyone else.
